Event Description:  The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Student Assistance Program (SAP), is designed to assist school and agency personnel within the IU5 tri-county area, in identifying issues including alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, and mental health issues which pose a barrier to a student's success. The primary goal of SAP is to help students overcome these barriers. To become a SAP team member, participants must register to attend this 3-day training. The cost of this training is $330 per person and includes materials and lunch. Participants must attend each of the 3 days and should be aware that state requirements for this training include a take-home competency task (homework) to be completed after the training. Eligible for Act 48 credits upon completion of standards based competency. For more information contact: Carol Buckleitner, SAP Lead Trainer at 814-734-8429.
